Weekly Tittle

The Weekly Tittle is an exercise designed to focus your attention on a specific space, aspect, or challenge of decluttering and organizing your home. We assign a new tittle in each webcast/podcast, then check on your progress the following week.

A Healthier Point of View

This week’s assignment is to survey your living space from a health and well-being perspective:

  • Schedule an appointment with yourself to conduct a health and well-being audit of your home. Plan to spend at least a couple of minutes in each room.
  • Carry a clipboard or notepad and a pen or pencil on your walkthrough to jot down any observations or action items you’d like to record.
  • Thinking in terms of the issues we’ve discussed in today’s episode, make a note of anything that strikes you as detrimental or potentially harmful to your health and well-being, such as:
    • Items or spaces that are prone to collecting dust.
    • Items or spaces that are difficult to keep clean.
    • Anything that might impede free movement or the functioning of the space.
    • Anything that feels visually distracting or over-stimulating.
    • Anything that triggers a feeling of stress or anxiety.
    • Anything that triggers any other negative response from you, such as shame, guilt, embarrassment, tension, worry, and so on.
  • Make a plan and book time to address each of the issues that rose to the surface during your health and well-being audit.
