Weekly Tittle

The Weekly Tittle is an exercise designed to focus your attention on a specific space, aspect, or challenge of decluttering and organizing your home. We assign a new tittle in each webcast/podcast, then check on your progress the following week.

Fun Space Inventory

This week’s assignment is to take a critical look at the materials you keep for hobbies, arts, or crafts. Examine the work space or storage area you dedicate to recreational activities, and ask yourself a few tough questions:

  • Are there any items I’m keeping solely because of how much money I spent on them?
  • Are there basic materials that I bought when I was starting out that I no longer use because my skills have improved or my tastes have changed?
  • Am I keeping any “aspirational clutter” in this area—i.e., items for activities I only thought I might be good at or enjoy?
  • Are there supplies I’m keeping even though my physical limitations (impaired vision or hearing, loss of mobility, arthritis, etc.) no longer permit me to use them?

For the full discussion of this week’s tittle, watch the Weekly Tittle segment on YouTube.
