Rubber bands, will take them to my art class so students can roll up their artwork and take them home easily.
Fabric and paint… I’m working I’m working. It’s kind of fun to pass off making craft projects as decluttering! I’m having fun making, thus reducing the supplies, and tgen I try to gift or donate or sell what I make.

Here’s your chance to ask Gayle and Ed any question you’re curious about. It need not be related to this survey’s topic(s). If we think that your question—and our answer—might be useful or instructive to The Clutter Fairy Weekly audience, we’ll share them in an upcoming episode.Once, I stayed at a friend’s place in Japan. The hallway was the kitchen, sink, counter, stove, refrigerator all lined up- and she rented bedding for me from somewhere in her neighborhood at about 80$ for a few nights or something. I tried to pay her back. She said that people don’t keep bedding in their homes. The other Japanese friend I stayed with seemed to have a TV throw or something for me though, I think. And the two other friends did have proper kitc hens. Not sure hiw accurately these anecdotes reflect the country, but they seemed like interesting solutions to her current situation of living as a single woman and saving up.
Future topics

Cleaning (by oneself - hiring a cleaning person does not count) as a way of “shopping”. Also, decluttering also uncovers hidden gems- so decluttering as treasure hunting.
