| Describe ways in which aging has negatively affected your ability, willingness, or desire to declutter or organize your home. | I have way less energy for decluttering and cleaning and there always seem to be more to do. Spending long hours doing 1 big job is a lot, so I try a little at a time. When I am ready to let something go my family sometimes want to keep it. |
| Describe ways in which getting older has positively affected your ability, willingness, or desire to declutter or organize your home. | I know that my stuff does not mean much to others. My son said he'll just throw most of my stuff away and this was eye opening. Even though my son was laughing and being funny I knew there was some truth in his comment. |
| Describe ways in which you’d like for your space and belongings to better support your goals and dreams for the next years of your life. | I would like less stuff to worry about and look after in my later years. I want to spend my time doing fun enjoyable things and not have to deal with stuff in the future. And I think I will have less energy for decluttering in the future, so now is the time. |
| Future topics | Do different cultures see aging with stuff differently? My friends mother thinks downsizing would look bad. Having a big house is a status thing. She is from India. I find this interesting as she could afford a new lovely smaller place and possibly be more comfortable. |
