| Which of the following statements describe situations that you’ve experienced during the last year? Please check all that apply. |
|
| Please list any other “wardrobe malfunction” you’ve experienced that we didn’t include above. | I have many items that need mending but I never prioritize doing the mending. If I love an item that needs mending it's hard to give it up but when an item I don't care for needs mending it's easy to get rid of it. |
| Complete the following statement: “The biggest problem with managing my wardrobe is that __________.” | I have lots of clothes I really like but not many occasions to wear them since I work from home. |
| What specific categories or types of clothing do you most struggle to manage? | clothes that need hand washing and/or ironing. I've been paying more attention to the care needs of items when shopping |
| Here’s your chance to ask Gayle and Ed any question you’re curious about. It need not be related to this survey’s topic(s). If we think that your question—and our answer—might be useful or instructive to The Clutter Fairy Weekly audience, we’ll share them in an upcoming episode. | I'm guessing you saw the article in the December 16, 2024 New Yorker "What Professional Organizers Know About Our Lives". Much of what it said I've heard in your videos but I thought some of the history of professional organizers and clutter itself (e.g. Victorian bric a brac) was interesting. Have you read the book "More Than Pretty Boxes: How the Rise of Professional Organizing Shows Us the Way We Work Isn’t Working" that is mentioned in the article? |
| Future topics | I'm always interested when you delve into the personal and social/collective psychological aspects of clutter. Why we accumulate things and have trouble managing them and letting them go. |
