May 16, 2025

Have you previously experienced a renovation, remodel, or major DIY project in your home?Yes
Briefly describe the project you completed.1) wall to wall carpeted floors in several rooms were converted to parquet flooring.
2) painting all rooms, doors and windows
Did you declutter as part of your preparations for the project? Describe how clutter complicated or adversely affected the project, if that was part of your experience.only partially; that is, only decluttered the very obvious things. It made everything take so much longer to take out store and put back again.
Are you making plans for a renovation, remodel, or major DIY project in your home?No
Here’s your chance to ask Gayle and Ed any question you’re curious about. It need not be related to this survey’s topic(s). If we think that your question—and our answer—might be useful or instructive to The Clutter Fairy Weekly audience, we’ll share them in an upcoming episode.I've noticed that among friends and acquaintances, all say they need to declutter but the task makes them so weary, plus they push it off because they just cannot decide.
When I suggest doing it with a friend they nix the idea for various reasons, mostly because they don't want anyone to know what a they have or that they are hoarding things.
Could you talk about how to make decluttering less of a task?
Future topics

how to make decluttering fun 🙂
