| What feelings or memories—positive, negative, or in-between—does the phrase “dining room” evoke for you? How have your attitudes, beliefs, or practices around dining and entertaining changed over time? What impact, if any, do dining and entertaining have on the clutter in your space? | I have positive memories as a family of 5 all working together to prepare, serve, and clean up after dinner in the dining room on the dining room table. My days of entertaining in the dining room are long gone. The dining room table is currently full of items for I need to eliminate from my home. |
| Here’s your chance to ask Gayle and Ed any question you’re curious about. It need not be related to this survey’s topic(s). If we think that your question—and our answer—might be useful or instructive to The Clutter Fairy Weekly audience, we’ll share them in an upcoming episode. | I have a 4 bedroom house with 3 of the bedrooms that are cluttered big time plus a cluttered garage. I need to move in 10 months and struggle with such a big job. I am trying to live on my SS so can't afford help. Family members live too far away to help. I have been seriously thinking ( for a long time) about an hour session with Gayle just to get an overview and some direction. A declutter map. As I declutter I have found childhood dolls, paper dolls, all letters from college days, baby shoes, GI Joes, .....you get the idea! My question is where do I start? Thanks |
| Future topics | Prioritizing decluttering in a multi-room home with thousands of items and difficulty throwing away useful items. |
