Name up to three clutter problem areas in your home. These may be physical spaces, categories of stuff, or collections of items that you usually or chronically find difficult to get clear—or keep clear—of clutter.Study/guest/crafts room (it serves all three functions at times)
Former child's bedroom, used to be guest room, now serving as storage room
Spare closet in the hallway, our tetris of boxes of things used occasionally
For any of the problem areas you identified in your answer to the previous question, list factors that contribute to your difficulty decluttering in these areas.Factors that contribute to my difficulties decluttering:
not enough mental energy to make decisions for some items, and the "follow through" afterwards, not enough time because regular housework alone takes too long; too many volunteer activities but it is which is what we both like to do in our retirement.
AND saving all sorts of materials that might be used for crafts.
Name up to three clutter “sweet spots” in your home. These may be physical spaces, categories of stuff, or collections of items that you usually find relatively easy to keep decluttered and organized. All the "public" rooms are kept quite/relatively tidy: Entrance Hall, Living rm, Kitchen, WC/ Bathroom.
For any of the “sweet spots” you identified in your answer to the previous question, list factors that contribute to your ease in (or even enjoyment of) maintaining these areas.I trained myself and DH to tidy up kitchen before bedtime, and I regularly look around Lvrm and entrance to clear things/ tidy up. Same for Bathroom/WC.
Whenever I leave a room, I check to see what in there needs to go to another place. (if I remember)
Am using up craft materials and have vowed not to buy anymore.
What’s an item or category of stuff that you feel as if you could never get too much of?Family photos, TG all digital nowadays.
Here’s your chance to ask Gayle and Ed any question you’re curious about. It need not be related to this survey’s topic(s).Might you be doing a show with another on-line decluttering YouTuber?
