Name one or more of your favorite Clutter Fairy-isms (e.g., “thin the herd”) or decluttering and organizing mnemonic devices (e.g., OHIO—Only Handle It Once).Let the item go into the river of things, one in one out
Here’s your chance to ask Gayle and Ed any question you’re curious about. It need not be related to this survey’s topic(s).How to not get recurring piles everywhere, even if I want to declutter and have less stuff e.g. aroung the bed.
There are a few books to read, small pieces of paper with things I need to buy/remember/look into, knitting, clothes for work on a chair since I don't want to wash them after 1-2 days, but don't want to put them back in the cupboard etc, etc.
Even when I've cleaned up and put many things away, the piles always come back 🙁
I read a little before sleep, I knit a little in the evening sitting on the bed after work (=relaxing), and after having decluttered things start piling up again. Oh, I forgot to mention two laptops I have to go through and get rid of, they've been on the floor close to the bed for more than a year. Or two. Oops. I've started with the laptops but didn't finish and now I don't remember any longer what was checked or not.
I realise I need to start with my own things, but in the meantime I also get a little irritated about my husbands piles, haha. But I try to ignore those, since I have to work on my own clutter first.
