Select the categories of clutter that you find most difficult to work on. (Since we discovered the technical issue preventing some users from answering the previous question, we’re also offering this simpler format.)
  • Family heirlooms or other inherited items
  • Financial paperwork
  • Items associated with a career/job
  • Materials related to unfinished projects
  • Mementoes and souvenirs
  • Personal papers (letters, cards, etc.)
  • Reading material (books, magazines, etc.)
For the category of stuff you find hardest to declutter or organize, please tell us about how or why this type of stuff trips you up.I find that I get overwhelmed and filled with anxiety which causes me to get angry and give up. I move items around without making final decisions. I become confused and lose focus and waste time .
What’s your favorite thing to listen to while decluttering?Silence but my thoughts then distracts me.
Here’s your chance to ask Gayle and Ed any question you’re curious about. It need not be related to this survey’s topic(s).I have a hard time getting started so my question is what’s a good way to start I realize there are many aspects to clutters. I tend to have piles of stuff.
