Describe any issues you experience with using, storing, displaying, cleaning, maintaining, or organizing the category or collection you described above.Because I am afraid there is some report that is important, I tend to look at all papers and that takes a lot of time.
Does you home have a “command center”—a spot where you spend a significant amount of time in a variety of activities (e.g., watching TV, reading, doing paperwork, eating meals or snacks, etc.)?Yes
Where is your command center?Den I am in process of learning to be a widow so I eat most of my meals in den so I can watch TV or read daily paper
If you sit in your command center and look around you, which of the following items are within close reach?
  • Dirty dishes or drinking vessels
  • Magazines
  • Trash or recyclables
  • Papers to be filed
  • Bills to be paid
  • Remote controls
  • Personal-care supplies
How well does your command center fulfill the functions for which you use it?

Pretty good. Close to kitchen.. I have a large clipboard--16.5 X 17.5--which makes it easy to write checks, grocery lists, etc. Medically, I need to sit with my feet elevated and that is easy because I can prop them on end of bench coffee table. Close to laundry room and I can hear sounds of phases of washer and dryer. PLUS (and a big one) I have enough windows and a glass door to see into back yard and see what squirrels are doing. I like lots of light and the den is great for that.
