Briefly describe the category or collection of items.DOLLS 😀 Dolly clothes, shoes, wigs, accessories, fabric & sewing supplies JUST for the dolls (I don't sew for people, unless minor fix-up jobs on clothes). And the dolls obviously. It's about 80% of my belongings space-wise *aside from* the clothes, kitchen stuff and car tires.
Which of these statements best describes your strategy or approach for keeping the category of stuff you described above under control? It flactuates... I try the one in-one out, but sometimes it gets out of hand. I'm constantly actively working on it though, either through crafting and using up or flipping some stuff.
Describe any issues you experience with using, storing, displaying, cleaning, maintaining, or organizing the category or collection you described above.Well, the dolls collect dust and I don't have special furniture. I move once every 18 months to small rooms with the furniture already there. Plus, such a glass cabinet would be risky to transport due to its fragility. Also, I have the dolly boxes which I need to keep AND ina good condition to prove the dolls' authenticity should I want to resell them, so I just keep them in my bedroom... not hidden even. it does bother me, truthfully... I have no other climate-controlled yet hidden area. If I had fewer dolls, I'd have fewer, less eye-soring boxes...
Does you home have a “command center”—a spot where you spend a significant amount of time in a variety of activities (e.g., watching TV, reading, doing paperwork, eating meals or snacks, etc.)?Yes
Where is your command center?bed and desk, sometimes the tiny kitchen table.
If you sit in your command center and look around you, which of the following items are within close reach?
  • Dirty dishes or drinking vessels
  • Unfinished projects
  • Trash or recyclables
  • Papers to be filed
  • Books in progress
  • Electronic devices or accessories
  • Discarded clothing or shoes
  • Jewelry
  • Hobby/art/craft supplies
How well does your command center fulfill the functions for which you use it?

it sort of does, but it feels like it draws me like a magnet and demotivated to move out when I need to e.g. put something away.

I'm moving in 3 months and so looking forward to it! Learning the new language, downsizing and cleaning. I've done my papers (yay 3 folders out of 7 gone) and I've done my clothes (I will redo it in a couple months as usual still - some thing get worn out regardless) and I've sold some clothes too. I'm not going through my craft supplies to give away some to my kids at school. Love from Poland! (soon from somewhere else 😉
