Which of the following growing things or green spaces are under your care?
  • Indoor plant (decorative)
  • Lawn
  • Outdoor potted plant
  • Shrub
  • Tree
  • Other
If you selected “Other” above, please elaborate:Desert landscape (cacti, etc.) - front and back yards (about 1/3 of an acre)
What lawn or garden chore do you find the most difficult, challenging, tedious, unpleasant, etc., and why?Cleaning up after my mesquite trees year-round. They are always dropping some sort of debris which will end up in my pool if I don't clean up after them pretty quickly, which translates to cleaning the pool, which is challenging and time sensitive.
What’s your favorite thing to grow, and why?Fruit trees are my favorite things to grow. I have 6 of them. They are young and don't produce much fruit yet, but I am hopeful!
What emotions do you experience when you think about downsizing?I enjoy downsizing and am pretty good at it. I downsized when I moved about 3 years ago to a smaller home with a much larger yard, which is great because I would rather be outside putzing around than indoors.
When do you expect to downsize your living arrangements?I plan to downsize within the next 10 years.
How would you feel about having to give up 50% or more of your current possessions in a downsizing move?
Piece of cakeNeutralCompletely overwhelmed
Complete this phrase: “Spring is _.”my third favorite season--second favorite is fall, and favorite is summer (even though it gets pretty hot here in Phx). Winter is my least favorite season. I freeze most of the time. Yikes!
