What project or task do you most closely associate with the phrase “spring cleaning”? What challenges or difficulties does this activity present for you?I work full-time and there's no way I can spring-clean the entire house like some people say they do. Needless to say, I'm the lady of the house and no one else but me is interested in spring cleaning!
What positive or negative feelings or memories does spring cleaning evoke for you?Negative: having to admit to people who do that I don't spring clean. It's like being excluded from a private club.
Positive: my mother worked too and did not do a full house clean in the spring, but she did wipe all the kitchen cupboards then and it smelled so nice afterwards!
What question would you like us to ask the members of The Clutter Fairy community? Your submission may be related to clutter, organizing, productivity, or any other topic of relevance to our audience, whether we’ve covered it in a past webcast or not.Did anyone encounter some form of prejudice when decluttering? A lot of people assume that when you donate things that are still good, you are a person with too much money and/or an ungrateful human being for not liking what you have. I feel like I'm on a mission to convince people that storing kitchen gadgets you don't use, books you'll never read again, craft material you're no longer interested in, etc. is actually a sane decision.
What’s your favorite sign that spring has arrived? Finally being able to open windows that were frozen shut to let the fresh air in.
Here’s your chance to ask Gayle and Ed any question you’re curious about. It need not be related to this survey’s topic(s).Is there a generational divide between buying and renting any sort of equipment? My husband (he's in his 50s) finally stopped buying power tools when we ran into a storage problem and he realized a lot of what he owned had rusted or failed to start for lack of maintenance. I took me YEARS to convince him that renting tools was not only much cheaper in the long term, more convenient for us, and also socially acceptable. It's like you're less of a man if you don't own a chain saw...
Future topics

What are the best ways to display the (sentimental) stuff we decide to keep? I'm toying with the idea of buying shadow boxes but they seem bulky on a wall. Maybe Gayle has seen innovative ideas or viewers can offer their own solutions.
