The Weekly Tittle is an exercise designed to focus your attention on a specific space, aspect, or challenge of decluttering and organizing your home. We assign a new tittle in each webcast/podcast, then check on your progress the following week.
Redefining “Organized”
This week’s assignment is to come up with a personal definition of “organized” to use for measuring success in your decluttering and organizing efforts.
- Reflect on what would be different in your home or your life if you were sufficiently organized.
- Make a list of specific changes in your life that being organized will help you accomplish:
- What will you be able to have, to be, or to do that you aren’t able to have, be, or do now?
- What new activities or opportunities will be available to you that aren’t now?
- What positive feelings or emotional states will your organized space provide?
- What negative feelings or emotions will be diminished by getting organized?
- Keep your list, and revisit it occasionally to check your progress toward your ideal organized state.
